三義木雕節登場 打造"慢城"特色

「2015三義國際木雕藝術節」從8月1日起至16日，苗栗縣政府國際文化觀光局將於木雕博物館舉辦一系列活動，除了活力十足的裝扮路跑，現場還邀請木雕師即興創作，為一年一度的藝術節系列活動揭開序幕。

苗栗縣長徐耀昌表示，三義鄉不但擁有獨特木雕產業，更有風景秀麗的好山好水，搭配未來舊山線申請國際「慢城」組織的規畫，發展「新型態休閒活動」，將再升級成為苗栗最熱門的觀光景點之一。

今年木雕藝術節活動，除了木雕師現場創作表演外，還有街頭藝人、在地農特產品、客家美食品嚐以及山城音樂會，多位客家知名歌手將輪番演出。

為了方便遊客造訪，於木雕藝術節期間週休假日，上午9時至下午5時30分，將從三義火車站開出免費專車，途經火炎山森林生態教育館、水美雕刻街、勝興車站、龍騰斷橋，相隔約20分鐘就有一班公車，民眾可以多多利用
